Just got back from the national RWA conference in D.C. (what a beautiful city!) where a great time was had by all.
The positives: (a) The hotel was fabulous (see photo). Primo location, tripped out room with a fridge, lovely grounds...and all within walking distance of lots of great restaurants.
(b) A most excellent meeting with my editor. We're on the same page, career-wise. (pun intended, naturally.)
(c) Gossip...er, strategized with old friends.
(d) Had a most interesting experience at the Harlequin/Silhouette party, which is always the hottest ticket in town. (Srsly, I sweated my ass off.)
(e) Met lots of publishing bigwigs. Maybe even a little wig or two.
(f) All my new clothes fit despite a slight water retention problem.
(g) Got me all fired up and now I'm ready to rock and roll.
The negatives:One word...blisters.
