Pretty Girls Make Graves

I know what I want for Christmas this year.

I WANT MY OWN HBO SERIES

I just finished watching Season 2 of Dexter and, wow, this is currently my favorite show. The writing on this series is consistently great and often borders on bloody brilliant (!). The characters, the music, the setting...love, love, love. I don't currently subscribe to Showtime, but I just may have to break down and order it because I'm seriously jonesin' for a new episode.

The hot new series to watch on HBO this fall is a little delicacy called Tru Blood which is based on Charlaine Harris's Southern Vampire Series. I've only recently discovered Charlaine Harris (I know, where have I been?), but she's fast becoming one of my favorite writers and I absolutely adore her Harper Connelly character.

I used to think the coolest thing ever would be a feature-length movie based on one of my books, but to heck with that. I want my own HBO series.
